Bellingham, the largest district with over 12,000 FTE students (according to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction), has stayed on its course and reelected both of their incumbents but there was a serious candidate running against incumbent controversial adult store owner Jenn Mason.
In the remainder of the Whatcom County with over 16,000 FTE students (according to OSPI); 67% of the seats are to be filled by new board members. Four of these new people come as winners against incumbents in their districts. (See the chart below).
