Four years ago, I was honored to be returned to the County Council by an overwhelming 74 percent of the voters.  I have not taken your trust in me for granted, working diligently to stand up for and honor District 4 values, building trust and respect among other community leaders, even those with differing opinions, and finding solutions that work.

My priorities are simple: to put people first and solve our problems. This means being a leader who listens, understands, and works for you – and doesn’t waste your time or money.

On the County Council, I led the efforts to add 10 new deputy positions to the sheriff’s department, increased access to senior housing, transportation and support services, decreased emergency response times, and funded organizations like the Lighthouse Mission that serve our homeless population.

I have been a leader through COVID, the floods, and a recession. I fought to be a good steward of your tax dollars and to protect family wage jobs. I am an outspoken advocate for farmers, small business owners, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.

I am a representative who believes in a small, smart, effective government, I have served with integrity, and I have been successful at incorporating conservative principles into the work the council does, even in a minority.

Smart government is about bringing people together, building trust and finding the best solution for the most people.  That is what I will continue to do when re-elected to be your District 4 County Council Representative.
