Alert Did you know that the school is using your children and the national honor society and school time for political activity to promote a Teachers Union poltical agenda?
The note that went out below mentions 2109 which would repeal the capital gains tax.
All the note below says though is that it hurts education
-it does not mention that the WEA, the largest Political Action Committee in the state, is spending millions of dollars to defeat this initiative
-it does not note that the money from 2109 goes almost exclusively to fund Day Care
-it does not mention that the reason day care is so expensive in this state (we are third highest cost in the nation) is that Olympia has regulated 5600 home day care centers out of business literally over the past 20 years creating huge day care deserts in the state.
-it doesn’t mention that the state has had a $19billion cumulative surplus over the past 5 years and has wasted the money supporting other priorities than your children
-it doesn’t mention that since the cap gains tax was implemented WA state has begun to see an exodus of businesses and an increase in failures of business.
-it does not notify you that if you are a microsoft or amazon employee and receive a significant amount of your future income in stock and stock options this will tax will hit you
-it doesn’t mention that the legislature has already pushed (but not passed) a bill in the last session 5335 which would lower the cap gains threshold to $15K, make the bottom rate 8%, and the top rate 15.5% when you reach $250K of capital gains income
-They don’t mention that people like Jeff Bezos and Ken Fisher have left the state because of this tax
-They don’t mention that when those people leave and the tax receipts go down, they will be coming not only for your stock option cap gains income but also sales from real estate and retirement plans (both exempted now)
