Education
Lynden Christian School graduate. Earned the Association of Washington Cities certificate of Leadership. This training provided the knowledge to effectively operate within the law, plan for the future, secure and manage funds and foster community and staff relationships.
Community Service
Served six years Army Reserves. Was presented the Governor’s Spirit of Community Award. Active supporter of Swan Graphics on the Yakama Nation Reservation providing vocational training for native young adults.
Statement
I would like to thank the community for your past support. It is my desire to represent you, the stakeholders of Lynden, for another term. These are exciting times in our city as we move forward with good planning. We have the Million Smiles playground, wonderful parks, trails and the newly expanded multi sports activity center at Bender fields. All this is thanks to you the citizens, the service clubs and the Regional Parks and Trail Commissioners. Are you aware that more than 200 cars per day visit Berthusen Park! With such high usage I support and look forward to the development of the Heusinkveld farm, the Dickinson park, the Glenning street property and an expanded trail system.
