Wyatt Shedd-Stewart for Ferndale City Council Position 4

I want us to find our homes in Ferndale, to thrive here, and to have engaged community members of all ages sharing in creating the Ferndale of tomorrow. As a young professional, I was grateful that my wife and I were able to buy a house in Ferndale and we believe home ownership and community involvement should be a more accessible goal for all families.

For the past three months I have been attending every meeting I can to understand the issues, concerns, and needs I will be addressing if elected. As your next City Councilmember, I will fight for more and better affordable housing. We need to ensure our neighborhoods have houses for growing families, apartments for younger and older residents, and good bus service. Ferndale cannot become a city for just those who can afford it. We need to make sure our public infrastructure can rise to meet the needs of our growing community.

We cannot let the rapid growth we are experiencing leave half the city struggling to make ends meet. I will work and invite others to engage in the work of making Ferndale the best it can be for the future.

I am endorsed by Mayor Greg Hansen, Senator Sharon Shewmake, and council member Ali Hawkinsen. More information and endorsements available at my campaign site: Wyatt4ferndale.com
